Yarn in the Works strives to hold a range of classes for all ages from beginner’s knitting and crochet through to master classes from visiting teachers. If you are not sure which level is right for you feel free to email us or ring the store and we can help you decide. Click on any of the classes below for more details; we also welcome suggestions for particular classes.
Children’s Classes and Workshops
Yarn in the Works is available for tailor made children’s workshops or private events.
We normally offer beginners knitting and crochet from the age of 7 onwards ( but the decision is totally up to mum and dad!) For younger guests we can offer finger knitting classes, perfect for little ones who may struggle with the use of a knitting needle. All guests will leave leave with a finished product from a knitted purse, scarf, or soft toy. (we are happy to accommodate you and your child’s interests)
You may bring your own catering if you prefer and we can take care of the rest!
Please contact: firstname.lastname@example.org or email@example.com to discuss your requirements.
Private/Small Group Lessons
We can arrange for you to have a private lesson with a specialised teacher either on a one to one basis or as a small group with friends or work colleagues.
Private lessons $395 per person per 1.5 hour class. (1-2 people)
Small Group $350 per person per 2 hour class. (minimum of 3 people)
*Note: The cost of the yarn is not included in a private or small group lesson.
We can discuss your requirements when booking the class.
Please feel to contact the store if your wish to make an appointment to discuss any issues with your own project.
Workshops and Classes are held in store unless otherwise specified.
